



ALAN CHEZ
(Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Valve Trombone and Percussion.
Alan Chez Joined the CBS Orchestra on Feb. 3, 1997 after years of sitting in on trumpet and flugelhorn with Late Night with David Letterman NBC and the Late Show CBS. His 17 year run at the show is Second to Doc Severinsen as the longest Network TV trumpet player.
In 1979, joined forces with Jon Bon Jovi to help create the band the Atlantic City Expressway, which played New Jersey shore clubs for years. Chez has also played with such artists as Tower of Power, Robert Cray Band, Spyro Gyra, Sting, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, Cee lo Greene , Snoop Dog, James Brown as well of many others. He has performed at such events as several Presidential Inaugurations, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions and Rock hall DVD collection, John Lennon's 50th birthday celebration in Tokyo Japan, the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games Closing Ceremonies, the Concert of the Century at the white house, the Concert for New York and the Very Special Christmas Concert.
Chez started his extensive music career at the age of 9 when he joined a local drum corps, the Saints. He went on to march in The Garfield Cadets, Reading Bucs and the Bushwackers. Chez still donates his time to drum corps activity working with many DCI and DCA corps. As well as bands Throughout America.
Having worked with DCI Champion Cadets, DCI finalist Crossmen , and DCI finalist Oakland Crusaders.
As well as DCA Champions Reading Buccaneers , Empire Statesmen , Bushwackers , DCA finalist Fusion Core and Kingston Grenadiers. Al has been a program designer , drill writer , brass technician, brass caption head , Program coordinator , and Visual technician . Chez is devoting his time these days to his a Passion
"Al Chez & The Brothers of Funk Big Band," a big band playing rock and soul music with big horn sound . Al chez and The Brothers of Funk will be touring starting in 2013 check them out on Facebook

The Combo of AL CHEZ’s school clinics and Brothers of Funk concerts are a huge hit in High Schools and colleges across the country.

Chez was born in Jersey City, N.J., on July 7. He and his wife, Cat, six kids, and two dogs and 10 Grandchildren continue to live in the great state of New Jersey.
